Location: Orlando, FL
Schedule: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM or 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $23.72 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC/Manual Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain machining equipment in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, the ability to run multiple machines, and a commitment to producing high‐quality parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and/or manual machining equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and technical data.
- Determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining sequences.
- Perform machining operations per drawings, work instructions, and standard work.
- Make offset adjustments to correct out‐of‐tolerance conditions.
- Verify fixture setups meet established quality standards.
- Calculate and set machine controls including speed, feed, cutting depth, and coolant flow.
- Assist Engineering with first‐run and prove‐out programs.
- Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on equipment.
- Follow all safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years of machining experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic machining experience including loading/unloading parts, tooling, and performing basic inspections.
- Experience with manual and CNC machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, or EDM equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation and work instructions.
- Basic math skills, including working with fractions and decimals.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work safely around noise and moving equipment.
