Skyport Aviation is seeking dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented Line Service Technicians to join our team at Tacoma Narrows Airport (TIW). We have both full-time and part-time positions available. If you enjoy aviation, working outdoors, and providing exceptional customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
Position Summary
The Line Service Technician is responsible for providing exceptional ground support services to general aviation aircraft while ensuring safe, efficient, and professional operations. This role requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Marshal, park, and dispatch arriving and departing aircraft.
- Fuel aircraft safely and accurately following FAA and company procedures.
- Tow and reposition aircraft using approved equipment.
- Operate ground support equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist pilots and passengers with baggage, transportation, and customer service needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ramp, hangars, and fuel farm.
- Perform daily inspections of fueling equipment and vehicles.
- Monitor fuel inventory and assist with fuel quality control procedures.
- Follow all FAA regulations, airport rules, and company safety policies.
- Assist with facility maintenance and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous aviation or line service experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous FBO or airport operations experience.
- NATA Safety 1st or equivalent training.
- Aircraft towing experience.
- Fuel handling experience.
