Davis Door Service is one company with multiple divisions. Our Kent Door Division is located in the Kent Valley and technicians are dispatched to a wide variety of locations in South King County as well as the broader area.

Position Details

The Service Technician plays a key role in the success of Davis Door Service. Our technicians ensure that our customers' doors operate reliably, efficiently, and safely as well as new installations are the best value we can provide for the customer's needs. This role is highly technical, and demands advanced problem-solving skills. Within this role, the Service Technician has the ability to make a big impact within the organization through their customer interactions, and has the freedom to work with the Division Manager to facilitate business and service improvements.

Primary Duties

- Installing and repairing a variety of commercial garage-type doors (Types: Sectional, Rolling, Vertical-lift, High Speed, Aircraft Hanger, Fire Doors, Sliding Gates)

- Ensuring customer satisfaction through performing a quality service

- Trouble shooting mechanical and technical issues that prevent proper door operation and communicating clearly to the customer regarding door repair details

- Reviewing door condition and notifying the customer of other potential future door issues

- Proper completion of digital job tickets for accurate customer billings

- Maintaining safe work practices at all times

Reporting Relationships

Davis Door Service is one company with multiple divisions. This structure allows us to serve our customers effectively and responsively. We have divisions serving the surrounding areas of Tacoma, Kent, Redmond, Seattle and Everett which gives Davis Door the ability to serve customers all along the Puget Sound corridor (and beyond). Each division has a division manager who oversees daily operations.

Skills We Are Looking For

- Experience installing and repairing commercial overhead doors

- A background in construction, repair, maintenance or mechanic professions

- Excellent customer service skills, which reflect the values of our company

- A sense of personal responsibility and passion for the success of the business

- A professional demeanor and punctuality

- Team oriented, can do attitude

- OSHA Ten or OSHA 30 card is a plus

- EL10 Certificate is highly regarded

Required

- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

- A pre-employment drug test and background check will be required
