Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and plating to ensure dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Expedite orders by coordinating between the kitchen staff and front-of-house team to deliver timely service
- Support food safety protocols by handling ingredients properly and maintaining cleanliness in the work area
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to relay special requests or modifications from guests
- Maintain organized station setup for efficient workflow during busy service periods
- Assist with bussing tables and supporting serving staff as needed to enhance guest experience
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for order processing and transaction management
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, including familiarity with food handling and safety standards
- Strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Experience in food expediting or line cooking is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic numeracy skills for order accuracy and inventory support
- Knowledge of hospitality principles, including customer service excellence and professionalism
- Experience with banquet service or large event catering is a plus but not mandatory
