As the Crew lead in renewable energy solutions, specializing in solar installations for residential and commercial clients. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Crew Lead to oversee solar installation projects with a strong emphasis on electrical expertises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of solar installers, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Provide training and mentorship to crew members, fostering skill development and teamwork.
• Oversee the installation of solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and other components.
• Ensure electrical wiring, conduit runs, and system connections meet industry standards and code requirements.
• Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance

Solar Installation:

• Work with a team to install racking systems and solar panels on residential roofs.
• Structurally mount racking and electrical equipment, ensuring all penetrations are effectively sealed.
• Perform routine maintenance on photovoltaic (PV) systems, including modules, arrays, batteries, power conditioning equipment, safety systems, structural systems, weather sealing, and other balance of systems equipment.
• Run conduit and wiring on roofs; install racking systems and modules.
• Apply weather sealing, such as pipe flashings and sealants, to roof penetrations and structural devices.
• Enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring a hazard-free environment.
• Perform regular equipment and tool inspections to maintain compliance with OSHA regulations.

Electrical Configuration:

• Configure electrical wiring for solar systems (both AC and DC).
• Test the operation and functionality of completed installations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA standards related to photovoltaic installations and enforce safety practices and standards.

Customer Interaction:

• Interact with customers, providing answers and directing their questions as needed.
• Ensure proper job documentation is completed upon conclusion of each job installation.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Read and review blueprints and plan documents.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, including identifying and reporting safety hazards and encouraging others to work safely.

Other Duties:

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years in solar installation, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in electrical work, including wiring, troubleshooting, and system integration.
• Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Ability to install residential solar PV systems from start to finish, including all phases of installation.
• Knowledge and experience with electrical panels, including sub-panels, MBD derates, conduit bending, and relocating circuits.
• Proficiency in handling power tools and materials, such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, and roofing materials.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret single-line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter.
• Knowledge of electrical principles as they pertain to solar interconnection/tie-in and code, and how PV systems operate.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to work safely within the range of equipment, including ladders, fall protection harnesses, and other personal protective equipment.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is req.

Working Conditions:

• Work is primarily performed outdoors, often in various weather conditions.
• May require travel to different job sites.
• Some weekend or after-hours work may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
