Role Purpose Statement

Join our team as the Regional Director Fleet Maintenance. You will lead the strategy and execution of fleet maintenance operations across North America (35 Field Operations locations), ensuring every asset performs at the highest standards of safety, reliability, and compliance. As the region’s trusted Subject Matter Expert, this role champions best-in-class maintenance practices, elevates repair quality, and strengthens vendor and OEM partnerships to drive operational excellence. You’ll guide high-performing teams and third-party providers, optimize asset lifecycle and cost performance, and ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements. This is a highly visible leadership role that shapes the future of fleet operations through innovation, continuous improvement, and an unwavering commitment to safety and performance.

  • Hybrid: M-Th- in office, remote on Friday
  • Travel- up to 30%


Main Accountabilities

•Direct the activities of all Fleet Maintenance teams and repair protocols for US Operations

•Ensures all vehicles in US are properly maintained to meet United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT)

•Direct negotiation, along with procurement with outside contractors and vendors concerning fleet maintenance

•Monitor and assess the fleet maintenance services provided by all 3rd party vendors and in house mechanics

•Ensure fleet maintenance schedules for the NAM CSC(s) are monitor, implemented and status be actively tracked in regional EAMS.

•Inform and train the US CSC(s) staff & 3rd party vendors about the correct use of the fleet

•Monitor systems for proper use of vehicles: Telogis (GPS), Ground Star, MaintainX

•Develop, train staff, and upkeep of fleet assets in regional EAMS (MaintainX)

•Support all capital projects involving equipment and vehicles in cooperation with the Headquarters’ LML team

•Ensure proper licensing and insurance requirements for all vehicles and other regulatory requirements

•Support LML objectives, development and deployment of Strategic direction in NAM

•Responsible for centralized fleet department costs & budget

•Participate in customer quality issues, develop and implement corrective actions that involve fleet maintenance.

•Maintain an ongoing, positive and pro-active relationship with all internal and external customers

•Monitor and ensure compliance with customer safety and equipment policies and procedures

•Provide a safe environment by promoting safety initiatives

•Reduce safety hazards by ensuring maintenance staff create safe tools, equipment, remove unsafe equipment, etc.

•Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized and directed

•Guide, motivate and develop all 3rd party vendors on proper SkyChefs fleet maintenance processes and procedures

•Participates in coaching the expanded Global Performance System (GPS) process, as well as additional career development activities to enhance the effectiveness and potential of the team

•Make the company's values and management principles live in the department(s)

•Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations

•Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standards (GQS), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge required
  • In addition, 10 years of technical expertise in diesel, gas and automotive fleet maintenance
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
  • Strong knowledge on electrical diagnostics and advanced skill on reading schematics
  • Proven analytical and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results and achieve budget
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills required combined with an aptitude for multi-tasking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer application

Preferred skills

  • ASE Master or equivalent technical certification
  • Hydraulic experience preferred
  • Knowledge on Diesel engine after treatment issues and causes
  • Experience with Alternative fuel equipment


Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
