Job Description:
As a Cultivation Technician at Orbit, you will work closely with the Cultivation Manager to support the growth and care of our cannabis plants from clone to harvest. While working with clones will be an important aspect of the role, your responsibilities will span the full range of cultivation tasks, ensuring that our plants thrive and meet our high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the care and maintenance of cannabis plants throughout all growth stages, including clones, veg, and flower.
- Support the Cultivation Manager with daily operations, including watering, feeding, pruning, and harvesting.
- Monitor plant health and report any issues, such as pests or nutrient deficiencies, to the Cultivation Manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sanitizing tools, equipment, and grow spaces.
- Accurately document cultivation tasks, including nutrient usage, watering schedules, and pest management.
- Assist with propagation, transplanting, trimming, and packaging as needed.
- Follow all safety and compliance protocols to ensure a safe working environment and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to environmental control, including monitoring and adjusting light schedules, humidity, and temperature levels.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in cannabis cultivation or a related field (agriculture, horticulture, etc.) is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with working with cannabis clones is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions from the Cultivation Manager.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions (heat, humidity, etc.).
- Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a background check as required by state laws.
