Job Overview
Sky Technics Aviation Repairs is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector/Clerk to ensure all maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities comply with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards. The QA Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within the repair station. This position is ideal for individuals who are open to learning, eager to grow within the aviation industry, and committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards. Training and mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with quality inspections of aircraft, components, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, approved data, and company procedures.
- Review maintenance records, work orders, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Support internal and external audits, including FAA and customer audits.
- Help identify, document, and track discrepancies and corrective actions.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed.
- Assist in maintaining and updating quality documentation such as the Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Quality Control Manual (QCM).
- Communicate quality findings clearly and professionally with technicians and management.
- Participate in training, continuous improvement initiatives, and Safety Management System (SMS) activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow procedures.
- Ability to learn FAA regulations, maintenance documentation, and quality processes.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous QA or Inspector experience in an FAA-certified repair station.
- Familiarity with SMS, internal auditing, and corrective action processes.
- Experience with multiple aircraft types or components.
