Bartender - The Humidor (Part Time)

We are looking for a professional, high-energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to our guests, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items and serve beverages and Cigars. The Humidor Bartender is responsible for assuring that the wants and needs of guests are consistently exceeded as well as adhering to standardized recipes, and ensuring consistencies of recipes between bartenders, managing inventory pars, and communicating stocking needs to management.

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly quality service and preparation of beverages to all customers.
• Communicates to supervisor any difficulties, guest comments and other relevant information.
• Up-sells and regularly replenishes beverages, abiding by responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Converses with Guests about alcoholic beverages, advising the types and styles of beverage, taking beverage orders, and serving beverage.
• Promotes, sells, make and present cocktails.
• Complies with legal provisions of local liquor and tobacco codes.
• Assesses guest's intoxication level and takes appropriate action as needed.
• Actively participates in all cigar and tobacco trainings and certifications.
• Promotes, sells, and presents cigar selections to guests as well as maintain clean environments for the guests to enjoy their experience.
• Complete all established set-up and break-down procedures.
• Monitors factors which interfere with the total experience of the guest.
• Uses refrigeration system correctly.
• Adheres to stock control procedures.
• Comply with all department rules, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls and all local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Accepts payment and/or comp authorization upon service of all beverages prepared and/or served. Complies with ABC training.
• Balances register at end of shift. Manages his bank and balances it daily.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Sky River events & Promotions and answer guests questions accordingly.
• Trains interested beverage servers for the bartender position.
• Attends periodic meetings and training sessions.
• Cleans beverage guns and sanitizes them daily.
• Cleans menus as required throughout the shift.
• Cleans and organizes the bar daily including deep cleaning of certain areas as assigned.
• Holds all bar staff accountable to cleanliness and organization of bar area.
• Polishes China, silverware, glassware daily.
• Lightly dusts and maintains the restaurant.
• Promotes positive public and employee relations.
• Always present oneself in a neat and clean appearance and upholds uniform standards of all bartenders.
• Contributes to the team in suggesting of specialty cocktail ideas, pairing suggestions, and other incentives.
• Educate all serving staff to cocktail recipes and background of liquors and spirits.
• Participates in Delo.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High school Diploma or education equivalent required.
• 2 years' experience bartending in a high-volume front bar, service bar, and/or fine dining environment or nightclub setting.
• Must be a knowledgeable mixologist.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have advanced bartending techniques and knowledge of bartending recipes & mixology.
• Experience with elevated garnish, ice & glassware programs preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of wine varietals & popular producers along with advanced knowledge of beer & liquor brands.
• Advance knowledge of cigar and tobacco products and popular producers in a preferred.
• Must have previous experience & be comfortable with jigger usage.
• Ability to effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management.
• Ability to wear and appear to be comfortable in the assigned uniform provided by Sky River without restrictions.
