What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at SKY Property Management?
SKY Property Management currently manages over 2,750 units from Kentucky to Tennessee, and will be continuing to expand. We are seeking a skilled, hard-working individual who thrives in a team environment to join our growing staff.
Job requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must have a valid drivers license and pass a criminal background check.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Minimum 2 year painting experience in residential market is preferred.
Job responsibilities include:
- Drywall repair and painting in multi-family apartments and single-family homes.
- Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, etc.
- Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures, etc.
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
- Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
- Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
- Apply varnish and other finishes
- Prioritize and complete maintenance work orders as assigned in a timely manner to meet firm deadlines.
- Work will be performed at multiple properties throughout the region.
Salary based on experience and job skills.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
