Location: Milwaukee, WI Position Summary:We’re seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure products meet all required specifications within a heavy industrial, steel-focused manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inspecting parts, documenting findings, and supporting corrective and preventive actions to maintain high production standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform product inspections and audits based on established specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.Review inspection data and assist in identifying trends that require corrective or preventive improvements.Participate in structured problem-solving processes such as 8D, 5-Why, and root-cause investigations.Read and interpret engineering drawings and use that information to determine appropriate inspection methods, tools, and acceptance criteria.Utilize precision measurement instruments (ID/OD micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) to verify product conformity.Accurately complete all inspection-related documentation with minimal oversight.Work closely with production associates in an industrial steel manufacturing environment to ensure nonconforming product is addressed promptly.Required Experience & Skills2 years of quality inspection experience within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and the ability to inspect to those requirements independently.Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs in a production setting.Ability to support PPAP activities, including inspection of sample submissions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).Experience with SAP or other MRP/ERP systems is preferred but not mandatory.Additional CompetenciesAction Oriented: Takes initiative and tackles challenges with urgency and energy.Customer Focused: Committed to building strong relationships and delivering high-quality, customer-driven results.Trustworthy: Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and reliability in daily work.Process-Driven: Understands efficient work processes and contributes to continuous improvement.Self-Development: Actively pursues opportunities to learn, grow, and expand skillsets.
