About the Role

Join a growing engineering organization focused on developing and improving innovative products for a diverse customer base. This opportunity is ideal for an early-career Design Engineer who enjoys turning customer and market needs into practical product designs and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the development process.

In this role, you'll design components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes while supporting new product development, product improvements, testing, and production launches. You'll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Quality, and customers to develop solutions that meet technical, performance, and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes for new and existing products
  • Develop innovative engineering solutions based on customer and market requirements
  • Create and refine CAD models, engineering drawings, and product specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout product design, development, validation, and launch
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering with process, assembly, and production problem-solving
  • Assist with new product development projects and product updates
  • Review technical reports and recommend design modifications to meet product specifications
  • Work with Sales and customers to develop and release product specifications and technical documentation
  • Develop and maintain Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R) in alignment with DFMEA, customer requirements, and industry standards
  • Coordinate with internal and external test labs and incorporate test results into product verification documentation
  • Support research and development initiatives within targeted product categories
  • Assist Sales with technical presentations and customer meetings
  • Support product changes, improvements, and engineering projects across departments
  • Stay current on relevant technologies, materials, processes, and industry developments


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 1–5 years of experience in design engineering, product development, or a related field
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Experience using CAD software to develop product designs and assemblies
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of Design for Assembly (DFA), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and tolerance stack analysis
  • Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and technical requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, and solution-oriented approach to engineering challenges


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with product development and design verification processes
  • Experience developing DVP&R documentation and working with test laboratories
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production assembly
  • Experience supporting customer-facing engineering activities
  • Familiarity with safety-critical products and regulated manufacturing environments
  • Experience leading or participating in cross-functional engineering teams

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
