A growing aerospace manufacturing company is seeking a Junior Buyer to support their supply chain team. This role is ideal for someone with purchasing or expediting experience who thrives on tracking details, chasing down delivery commitments, and keeping production supplied on time.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor open purchase orders and confirm supplier delivery dates align with production requirements
- Proactively expedite at-risk or late deliveries through direct supplier follow-up
- Maintain accurate PO data and delivery status within the ERP/MRP system
- Communicate supply risks and delays to Buyers and Planners in a timely manner
- Request and track supporting documentation from suppliers (certifications, packing slips, quality docs)
- Support on-time delivery metrics and help resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and shipments
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years in purchasing, expediting, supply chain, or materials coordination (aerospace/manufacturing preferred)
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Infor, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong follow-up, organizational, and communication skills
- Comfortable working with suppliers directly and managing multiple open POs simultaneously
- Aerospace/defense industry experience a plus, but not required
