Role Overview
Will serve as a key finance business partner to the leadership team, providing financial insight, decision support, and operational guidance to help drive business performance. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role will help translate financial results into actionable business insights, support the site’s operating rhythm, and strengthen financial visibility across the organization.
In addition to business partnership responsibilities, this role will help ensure strong execution of core accounting and finance processes at the site, including close support, financial controls, and reporting. The position will also provide day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and support to the on-site accounting resource to help ensure continuity and discipline in daily operations, while maintaining alignment with the broader finance organization.
No direct reports but mentoring responsibilities for Jr team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead finance business partner to the GM and site leadership team, providing financial insights, decision support, and clear visibility into business performance.
- Translate financial and operational results into actionable recommendations that support profitability, growth, working capital performance, and operational decision-making.
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and commercial leaders to improve forecasting accuracy, cost visibility, and overall business performance.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes for the business.
- Lead financial analysis and monthly performance reporting, including variance analysis, key metrics, and concise business commentary for leadership.
- Act as a key finance stakeholder in supporting integration activities, process maturity, and operational ramp-up for the business.
- Help strengthen financial controls, discipline, and standard work across the site to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with company policies and accounting requirements.
- Own and support the month-end and year-end close processes for the site, including account reconciliations, journal entry support, and coordination with the broader finance and accounting organization.
- Provide day-to-day mentorship, guidance, and support to the on-site accounting resource, helping prioritize work, resolve issues, and maintain strong execution, while formal reporting responsibility remains within the broader accounting organization.
- Oversee key site-level accounting activities, including invoicing, cash application, accounts payable coordination, and general accounting support.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strong partnership across the finance function and the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience in manufacturing, aerospace and defense, or other industrial environments required. Multi-site experience is a plus.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software (ERP) and Microsoft Office Platforms
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate financial information for non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salary : $125,000 - $135,000
