Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record patient symptoms and progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, conditions, and self-care techniques
- Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens as needed
- Assist doctors during medical procedures
- Provide primary care to patients in various settings such as hospitals, clinics, or nursing homes
- Manage pain medication administration and pain management techniques
- Provide specialized care for infants in neonatal units or pediatric settings
- Work in intensive care units (ICUs) to monitor critically ill patients
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong knowledge of medical procedures, terminology, and patient care protocols
- Ability to lift and move patients safely when necessary
- Familiarity with medical imaging technologies and their usage in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Experience working in a medical office or hospital setting preferred
- Knowledge of hospice palliative medicine is a plus
