Job Description:
We are seeking a patient and caring Art Teacher to inspire creativity and foster artistic skills in our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education and a deep understanding of childhood development. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, providing individualized instruction, and nurturing a supportive learning environment for students of various ages and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Teach small group or 1:1 art lessons
- Prepare fun, age-appropriate, and ability-appropriate art activities
- Provide guidance and positive reinforcement
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and encouraging classroom environment
- Communicate with parents and studio staff as needed
- Experienced working with special needs kids will be a plus*
- RBT is a plus*
Who We Are Looking For
- Loves working with children (ages 3–18)
- Experience teaching art classes (drawing, painting, craft, mixed media, etc.)
- Experience working with special needs students is strongly preferred
- Having worked as a Behavioral Technician (BT/RBT) is a plus
- Positive attitude, reliable, patient, and good communication skills
- Able to follow teaching guidelines but also bring personal creativity into the lessons
