THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR certification (training will be provided if not currently certified)
- Proficiency with computers, including MS Word and Microsoft Edge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with others
- Ability to multitask and efficiently follow directions
- Willingness to learn new software and digital tools
- Positive attitude
Knowledge of orthodontic assisting and clinical treatment processes is a plus. Having 1 year of relative experience and a NYS Registered Dental Assisting License are preferred but not required; we're willing to train the right candidate!
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS AN ORTHODONTICS RECORDS TECHNICIAN
You'll work a full-time schedule, Monday through Thursday between 8 AM and 5 PM, and on Fridays between 8 AM and 3 PM. This role will also occasionally travel between offices for coverage when teammates are out or on vacation.
As an Orthodontics Records Technician, you'll be the first point of contact for new patients, guiding them through the diagnostic process. Your day will include capturing digital scans with an iTero scanner, taking photographs and x-rays, completing cephalometric tracings, and entering records into patient charts. You'll assist with sterilization, support the clinical team to maintain smooth patient flow, and help retention and growth guidance patients-all while ensuring every patient feels comfortable and cared for.
