Job Description: Family Partnership Specialist
Summary: Utilize an array of service modalities to provide holistic care for families in crisis while supporting child safety and family stability.
Reports to Director of Programs
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in behavioral sciences or closely related field or BA in behavioral sciences and two years of paid work experience providing services to children and families
- Active DOH license or licensable within 3 months for qualifying credential: ○ LMHC, LMHCA, MFT, MFTA, LASW, LCSW
- Experience working with children and families
- General affability and capacity to engage with people from all walks of life
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to creatively solve problems
- Bilingual fluency (Spanish & English) strongly desired not required
Key Responsibilities
- Meet weekly with 8-12 clients in their homes within Whatcom and Skagit county
- Communicate regularly with clients throughout the week and respond to crisis situations as they arise
- Utilize a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to identify and prioritize family needs and goals (safe housing, parenting skills, household management, child safety, substance abuse)
- Help families overcome barriers by connecting them to both inter-organizational and community-based resources
- Deliver evidence-based counseling services to clients when appropriate
- Collaborate with social workers and other service providers to ensure effective and efficient care for clients
- Complete assessments, casenotes, and service reports in required timelines
Hours & Compensation: Full-time; Non-exempt We go where/when clients need us i.e. some weekend and evening hours to be expected Starting
Salary: 60,000-70,000
