Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Aesthetic Assistant to join our small, but mighty team at a family-owned concierge medical spa. The ideal candidate will possess a background in medical administrative support or customer service and hospitality. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients while ensuring smooth clinic operations. It is essential that the candidate is a team player and adept at anticipating the provider's needs during procedures. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in social media or content creation, as social media marketing is a paramount part of the business.
Responsibilities
- Assist and anticipate needs of aesthetic providers during aesthetic treatments.
- Perform intake duties including collecting consents and documenting patient medical histories.
- Keep procedure rooms stocked and clean at all times.
- Manage electronic medical records (EMR) systems to maintain up-to-date patient and procedure information, including inventory traceability.
- Provide exceptional patient service by promptly addressing inquiries and concerns, always prioritizing patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge on a selection of retail skincare to enhance patient interactions.
- Create social media content by photographing and filming providers during treatments and patient interactions.
- Greet and check out patients; provide receptionist support when the team is short-staffed.
- Adapt to the needs of the overall team, providing support where needed.
Skills
- Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred.
- Passion for aesthetics and skincare, with a willingness to stay current on industry trends.
- Experience in hospitality, customer service, or patient care preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under reasonable time constraints.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients and other team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating leadership when necessary.
- Previous experience in social media marketing/content creation is preferred.
- Desire to work with a close knit team in an aesthetic environment that focuses on patient care and education.
Location
- Must be willing to work in either Montclair, NJ and/or Midtown Manhattan.
Pay
- Starting base pay at $25/hr
- Commission opportunities available through skincare retail sales.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
