Now Hiring: Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. If you are detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about patient care, we’d love to hear from you!
Location: Wayne & Hackensack, NJ
Employment Type: Part Time/Full Time
Schedule: M-F 7:30am-4PM, 1 late night a week, alternating Saturday's from 7:30am-1pm.
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection efficiently and safely
- Properly label and handle specimens for laboratory analysis
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the blood draw process
- Follow all infection control and safety procedures
- Assist with specimen transport and processing as needed
Qualifications:
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent
- Minimum 3 year(s) of experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with EMR systems is a plus
- Must be able to travel between offices.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assisting physician with patient exams, procedures and treatments.
- Taking patient medical history, recording vital signs (i.e. blood pressure, pulse, temperature), and updating patient records.
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic laboratory tests, and sending samples to labs.
- Assisting front desk duties such as greeting & checking in patients, scheduling appointments & scanning reports as needed.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHRs), ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
- Explaining procedures, treatments, and tests being performed to patients, offering support and answering any questions.
Flexibility in schedule is needed. Must have reliable transportation and able to attend health fair events when needed.
