We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our Landscaping & Concrete family. Duties
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Develop detailed project budgets and manage cost control throughout the bidding process and project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams through negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable scheduling.
- Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to interpret project scope and material requirements.
- Analyze project plans to identify potential risks, discrepancies, or areas for cost savings.
- Manage the preparation of bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness in accordance with client specifications.
- Utilize construction management software and spreadsheets to track estimates, material quantities, and project timelines effectively.
Skills
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints accurately.
- General knowledge of construction estimating processes for residential and commercial projects.
- Managing projects as a construction estimator from initial bid through project completion.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Basic understanding of construction industry standards, contracts, and project management principles.
- Construction site experience that enhances understanding of on-the-ground realities impacting estimates.
- Management techniques such as material cost estimating, pricing strategies, and budget control.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
