We are seeking a dedicated, semi-retired Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) to join our new boutique medical spa in Osprey as a Medical Director. As we are in our exciting launch phase, the current workload is minimal. We are looking for a partner who values a low-volume, high-quality approach and wants to grow alongside a brand-new local business.
Key Highlights
- Location: Primarily Remote (Oversight/Consultation).
- Workload: Minimal at start; perfect for semi-retirement.
- Compensation: Starting at $500/month (Retainer), with scheduled renegotiation as the spa’s volume increases.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight and serve as the physician of record for a growing medical aesthetics practice.
- Review and approve clinical protocols for aesthetic treatments (e.g., laser services, skin treatments).
- Be available for occasional remote consultations or chart reviews as needed.
- Ensure the practice remains compliant with Florida state regulations and safety standards.
- Mentor a small, highly skilled team in a collaborative, luxury setting.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted MD or DO license in the state of Florida.
- Distance must be no greater than 75 miles or follow the "Primary Practice" Rule (25/75 Miles)
- Previous experience in aesthetics, dermatology, or plastic surgery is a plus, but not required.
- A collaborative spirit and interest in supporting a local, female-owned small business.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical oversight for all clinical procedures and treatments offered at the boutique spa
- Develop and implement protocols aligned with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, FDA regulations, and NCQA standards
- Supervise and mentor clinical staff and support personnel, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Oversee patient care processes, including assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up care to ensure optimal outcomes
- Manage medical records with precision using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems
- Ensure compliance with healthcare laws related to HIPAA privacy rules, medical records management, and patient confidentiality
