- Lead safety initiatives and build a strong culture of safety awareness and compliance.
- Educate, train, and motivate production team members on safety protocols and procedures.
- Create a continuous improvement and safety-focused environment for all team members.
- Encourage and empower all team members to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate respectful treatment of all employees in all interactions and decisions.
- Coach and mentor production team members on safety and productivity best practices.
- Identify and help eliminate risks and waste while improving lean operations and skills.
- Ensure proper training of employees in safety, quality, equipment operation, and 5S.
- Foster collaboration and encourage team feedback in safety initiatives.
- Interface with technical staff for proper operational support.
- Set annual goals and objectives aligned with operating metrics.
- Continuously improve processes and reduce inventory and work-in-progress levels.
- Act as first point of contact for employee relations issues.
- Interface with union stewards regarding contract and disciplinary matters.
