Skillforce is seeking experienced Forward Pick Operations Managers to support a high-volume, state-of-the-art warehouse and distribution facility in Georgetown, TX. This role oversees all forward-pick functions, ensures accurate and timely order fulfillment, and provides strong leadership to equipment operators and warehouse personnel. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing teams in a fast-paced distribution environment and is proficient with WMS/ERP systems and Crown SP3500 equipment. Compensation for this role is up to $65k depending upon experience and education. Two shifts are available for this role, day shift: 10:00 A.M-6:30 P.M. and night shift: 4:00 P.M-12:30 A.M.
Role Overview
The Forward Pick Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all forward-pick activities within the warehouse. This includes maintaining workflow efficiency, ensuring inventory accuracy, supporting replenishment, and enforcing safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise forward pickers and cherry picker operators.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of pickup and delivery orders.
Monitor and utilize WMS (Made4Net) and SAP data to maintain correct inventory flow.
Communicate low-stock and out-of-stock concerns and collaborate with Inventory Control and Receiving.
Uphold FIFO, date-code rotation, and all product-handling requirements.
Coach, train, and performance-manage warehouse staff.
Maintain proper staffing levels and oversee daily labor allocation.
Assist in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members.
Oversee pick accuracy, pallet build quality, and staging for outbound dispatch.
Enforce OSHA standards, company safety procedures, equipment inspections, and facility cleanliness.
Support equipment operators, packers, and other departments as needed.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of warehouse leadership experience; 3–5 years preferred.
Proficiency with Made4Net WMS, SAP, or similar systems.
Strong experience operating and training staff on Crown SP3500 cherry pickers.
Excellent planning, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
Extended periods of standing, walking, and equipment operation.
Regular use of computers and handheld RF devices.
