About the Role:
The Carpenter - Journeyman plays a critical role in the construction and renovation of residential, commercial, and industrial structures across the United States. This position involves interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling frameworks with precision to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic quality. The journeyman carpenter is responsible for executing complex carpentry tasks independently while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. Collaboration with other tradespeople and project managers is essential to coordinate efforts and deliver high-quality results. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the successful completion of construction projects by applying expert craftsmanship and problem-solving skills.
Pay Range: $45/HR DOE
Schedule: Overnight 8-HR SHIFT (8:30 PM-5:00 AM)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in residential or commercial carpentry with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- Experience with advanced carpentry techniques such as finish carpentry, cabinetry, or framing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with modern construction software and digital measuring tools.
- OSHA certification or other safety training credentials.
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead or mentor junior carpenters.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, metal, and other materials using hand and power tools.
- Construct, install, and repair frameworks, walls, floors, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks and meet deadlines.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Identify and resolve issues related to materials, measurements, or construction techniques during the project.
