What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver/Mover position at Skilled Trades?
We are looking for a reliable Driver to join our team of successful construction professionals The Driver will be responsible for working within a team, delivering and unloading custom millwork, windows, and doors in a timely manner to residential and commercial job sites throughout the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs. The Driver must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. No CDL is required, but previous box truck experience is preferred. Physical labor is routinely performed - must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time while walking, lifting, twisting, bending, pulling, and pushing 75 pounds.
Responsibilities:
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Deliver and unload product
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
- Be able to drive safely in all weather conditions.
- Be able to read and understand maps and GPS systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Maintain a safe driving record.
- Communicate effectively with customers and other Drivers.
- Work well with team and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Work 40 hours per week steadily year round
- Lift 75 pounds
- Report to shop 7-3:30 daily with opportunity for overtime
