We are currently hiring experienced and motivated Concrete Finishers to join our construction team in Augusta, Maine. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in producing high-quality concrete surfaces and working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Set and align concrete forms according to blueprints and project specifications
- Mix, pour, spread, and level concrete to required depth and pitch
- Operate hand and power tools including trowels, floats, screeds, and edging tools
- Smooth and finish concrete surfaces to achieve quality appearance and durability
- Apply sealants, curing compounds, and surface treatments
- Monitor concrete curing and make adjustments as needed for weather and site conditions
- Cut expansion and control joints to prevent cracking
- Work closely with laborers, carpenters, and supervisors to complete projects safely and efficiently
- Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas
Qualifications
- Previous concrete finishing experience preferred
- Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, and curing processes
- Ability to read basic construction drawings and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform demanding labor
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic required
