CMM Programmer
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
The CMM Programmer is responsible for creating, editing, and running coordinate measurement machine (CMM) programs to facilitate the parts inspection process for our internal customers.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Create intermediate/advanced CMM Programs using Zeiss Calypso
- Layout / dimensional CMM reports
- Determine conformance of products based on data received from CMM
- Use micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, and various other hand tools.
- Ability to develop work instructions for CMM set-up and operation for various programs.
- Participate in the company culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Experience with quality control technologies, including coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and acceptance test procedures, including full knowledge of reading geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Committed to maintaining customer success through attention to detail on all inspection projects.
- Can effectively work alongside a cross-functional team to accurately collect and disseminate quality information at all levels of the organization.
- Well-organized and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Metrics Driven: Continuously strives for improvement in performance.
Work Environment:
- Standing for 10-hour shifts
- Moderate physical activity, such as walking and lifting, is required on a daily basis
- Safety gear, such as approved safety glasses, is always required
- The ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis
- Clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment
