Are you a passionate creative leader with a deep love for beauty and an eye for compelling visuals? We are seeking a Senior Art Director, Beauty to join our client's innovative team on a contract basis. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in defining the visual narrative for beauty campaigns, groundbreaking product launches, and seasonal storytelling that captivates millions. This is your chance to make a significant impact, guiding projects from initial concept through to stunning post-production, and leaving your creative mark on a globally recognized brand. You will collaborate with top-tier talent, drive visual excellence, and contribute directly to shaping the brand's aesthetic across all touchpoints.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Lead the conceptualization and visual direction for high-profile beauty campaigns and seasonal product launches.
* Develop and present compelling creative concept decks tailored for diverse product assortments and campaign scales.
* Provide expert art direction for still-life and on-figure photography, guiding photographers, stylists, and production teams to achieve brand vision.
* Oversee detailed retouching notes and manage the post-production review process to ensure impeccable brand-level quality.
* Participate in review sessions with CGI production partners, ensuring seamless alignment with the overarching creative vision.
* Manage pre-production planning and post-production execution specifically for beauty campaigns.
* Foster cross-functional collaboration with marketing, product development, and internal creative teams to deliver cohesive brand storytelling.
* Champion the maintenance and evolution of the brand's distinct beauty visual identity across all platforms.

**Must-Have Qualifications**

* 5 years of proven experience in art direction within the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle sectors, with a strong emphasis on beauty.
* Demonstrated hands-on experience art directing still-life photo shoots and working effectively on set.
* An exceptional portfolio showcasing strong campaign concepting, premium product storytelling, and dedicated beauty-specific work.
* Proficiency in providing detailed retouching notes and managing complex post-production workflows.
* A strong ability to develop comprehensive creative concept decks for various product assortments.
* Deep understanding of current beauty category trends, aesthetics, and consumer behavior.
* Ability to thrive independently, expertly managing multiple projects under demanding deadlines.
* Strong leadership presence and exceptional collaborative skills to work across creative, marketing, and production teams.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications**

* Experience collaborating with CGI production partners.
* A genuine interest in fashion and broader brand culture.
* Prior experience in a lead or solo art director capacity.

Work Environment

*Hybrid schedule: onsite Tuesday through Thursday each week in Manhattan.

*Additional onsite days may be required for photo shoot or production days.

*Fast-paced, collaborative creative environment with a tight-knit team.
