What You'll Do

• Support engineering leadership and take ownership of critical technical aspects for infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate seamlessly with cross-functional teams including Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead technical discussions, providing expert guidance and mentorship to engineering team members.
• Contribute to the onboarding and development of new engineers as the team expands.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ensure all designs rigorously meet customer requirements, industry standards, safety regulations, and engineering best practices.
• Manage technical designs across a diverse portfolio of projects and clients.
• Develop comprehensive engineering scopes of work, execution plans, and project schedules.
• Create and review essential engineering deliverables, including equipment lists, valve lists, piping layouts, line lists, mechanical equipment data sheets, and perform pipe sizing and stress analysis calculations.
• Prepare technical requisitions for mechanical systems and equipment.
• Support the design of advanced piping and fire protection systems.
• Provide crucial piping load information to structural engineers.
• Serve as a primary technical point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships.
• Actively participate in design reviews, customer meetings, site visits, and commissioning activities.
• Respond to technical inquiries and provide robust support to construction teams throughout project execution.
• Manage engineering changes and documentation with precision and efficiency.
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends, continuously seeking innovative solutions.
• Recommend advancements that enhance reliability, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall project outcomes.
• Support the selection of optimal coatings, mounting systems, and installation methods for equipment.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered with relevant experience).
• Minimum 7 years of mechanical engineering and design experience, preferably within large infrastructure, industrial facilities, or environments.
• Extensive experience with:
  • Mechanical systems
  • Piping systems
  • Fire suppression systems
  • Construction and commissioning projects
• Profound understanding and practical application of engineering codes, standards, and industry regulations, including but not limited to: AISI, ANSI, ASME (specifically B&PV Section VIII, IX, B31.3), ASTM, AWS, IBC, MFMA, MSS, OSHA, NACE, NFPA, and PFI.
• Proven ability to produce and review complex technical drawings and documentation.
• Proficiency in software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and Navisworks.
• Exceptional ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities, capable of articulating complex technical information clearly.
• Comfortable and effective in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support project requirements.
