POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our public accounting team. This role involves delivering high-quality tax services while serving as a trusted advisor to clients across various industries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Plan and research complex tax issues and provide strategic tax planning recommendations
- Perform compilation engagements
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, explain findings, and provide guidance
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and firm policies
- Supervise and mentor staff accountants and review their work
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service
- Assist with special projects and advisory engagements as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Active CPA license (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2 years of experience in public accounting
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and/or auditing standards
- Experience with accounting and tax software (e.g., CCH, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, QuickBooks)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
