Heavy Construction Equipment Outside Sales Representative

SkidLoadersPlus has been experiencing explosive growth since starting in a two-bay shop in 2015 by an owner who is present every single day. Now, named Dealer of the Year for SANY America we are excited to have an opportunity to add to the team! SANY is the largest excavator manufacturer in the world, offering fully loaded machines with the industry’s strongest warranty with 5years and 5000 hours!

We are looking for the right individual who shares our passion for the products, our desire for continued growth, and our commitment to build more meaningful customer relationships.

This sales position is focused on Heavy Equipment. It involves the sale of Loaders, Excavators, Cranes & more by SANY America, Manitou, Gehl, Nifty, and other great brands. But also complimenting products such as soil compactors, stump grinders, snow removal and more! All from leading and well-known manufacturers around the world.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

  • Focus will be to cultivate new sales and rental opportunities with new and existing accounts.
  • Develop new relationships with key user groups including construction and equipment users and contractors.
  • Develop key working relationships with user groups, local associations.
  • This is not a remote position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively market rental units to customers across all counties, assist in coordinating efforts of existing company rental salespeople.
  • Be able to travel as needed for sales and marketing activities.
  • Maintain your activities in the company CRM
  • Be accessible via cell phone 24/7 for emergency assistance to customers.
  • Other responsibilities such as driving and/or overnight travel as designated by and at the discretion of management.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • An undergraduate degree (preferably in business or in a related subject), or
  • A minimum of three (2) years of experience with sales in the field of heavy construction equipment.

  • Good computer and systems knowledge
  • Good, safe work habits.

Specific skill requisites

  • Solid understanding of construction equipment design and usage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to initiate, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks independently.
  • Work well with others from a variety of backgrounds
  • Possess strong proficiencies with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Explorer, Etc.)
  • An excellent negotiator.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
