Position Title: Rentals Technician & Boot Fitter

Reports To: Rentals Assistant Manager, Assistant Director & General Manager

Summary of Position

The Rentals Technician & Boot Fitter is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while fitting, adjusting, and maintaining ski and snowboard equipment. This role ensures guests are properly outfitted for safety, comfort, and performance. Technicians must demonstrate attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to IMGR&C standards of hospitality and professionalism.

  • Has complete knowledge and can tell others of IMGR&C products and services.
  • Provide guests with directions or other venue information. Act upon all comments/complaints in a prompt, professional and friendly manner.

  • Ensures that all shifts are provided with the necessary information to facilitate their success.

  • Asks questions to better understand expectations of others.
  • Reports all guest complaints and compliments to Supervisor or Manager.
  • Reports all situations to Supervisor or Manager where resort grounds or equipment do not meet IMGR&C standards.

  • Offe ideas to increase team success and guest satisfaction to Supervisor or Manager.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are subject to change at management's discretion:

  • Assists with opening of ski resort, shoveling, moving tables as needed

  • Fit and adjust ski and snowboard boots, bindings, and equipment.
  • Perform safety checks and basic repairs.
  • Maintain rental inventory and cleanliness of workstations.
  • Assist guests with sizing, comfort, and equipment education.
  • Support rental desk operations and guest flow.
  • Follow all IMGR&C policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and take direction.
  • No prior experience required; training provided.
  • Demonstrates IMGR&C values: Accountability, Productivity, Acceptance, Communication, Hospitality, Enthusiasm.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Prior experience in ski/snowboard rentals or retail preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with boot fitting and binding adjustment standards.

  • Physical Demands

  • Must be capable of standing for extended periods.

  • Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in cold indoor and outdoor conditions.

  • Work Environment

  • Exposure to indoor rental shop and outdoor winter conditions.

  • Fast-paced, guest-facing setting with moderate noise levels.
  • May include weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
