The Power Motive Corporation Rental Technician position is a versatile position that operates in a fast-paced heavy equipment dealership environment. As a Rental Technician you will take on the responsibilities of our rental fleet working with our sales and service departments to meet goals and drive our business.

- Rental checking equipment- Each machine must be rental checked to department standards which are outlined in a checklist. The covers basic maintenance: All fluid levels, grease, fuel, customer damages, etc.
- Cleaning Equipment- after each equipment return the machine must be steam cleaned and detailed.
- Equipping machines for rental- Each rental may require reconfiguring machines with different buckets or attachments. Person must be able to switch buckets and add most attachments.
- All attachments must be verified with the machine and CDK.
- Document Traffic/Pictures- Each machine coming and going must be documented with the proper paperwork and pictures must be taken and uploaded to the ERP system in a timely manner. (Same day as traffic)
- Light Mechanical Duties- Any light mechanical duties must be performed by Yard Coordinator if it can be done in a timely manner. All minor damages & maintenance should be done by this position. Skill level will determine work level.
- Processing Traffic- Yard coordinator will process all traffic receipts in PFW.
- Upkeep of yard- Yard must maintain an organized appearance for PMC’s representation to the customer.
- Inventory control- Quarterly the rental technician will be responsible for helping the Rental Manager do inventory audits of their location.
- Communicate with Service Dept.- Position will work hand in hand with service department for heavier mechanical duties, customer damages, PDI, and anything out of the skill level of the rental tech. Service department may also be asked for assistance in rental checks.

- Attention to detail to ensure safety, accuracy, and quality in cleaning, check-ins/check-outs and recording of machines.
- Time management and self-motivation to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift and handle equipment (often up to 45 lbs or more)
- Adherence to safety rules and PPE use when working with machinery
- Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
