What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Excellence Specialist position at SKF Group?

As Supply Excellence Specialist, you will be part of strategic sourcing projects with advanced Supply Chain analytics. You will work in a challenging environment and you will be part of Global SKF Communities for Lean, ICR (Integrated Cost Reduction) and Cost Engineering, meaning the opportunity of collaboration with colleagues from all over the SKF world.
You will be part of an important contribution in the development of several projects linked to different SKF product families.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
As Lean Expert, you will be applying Lean principles by leading workshops aimed at cost optimization, Lean KPIs assessment and Continuous Improvement. Technology and Innovation are also considered part of a competitive manufacturing process.
Furthermore, you will:
- Participate in supplier selection for Lean Programs
- Collect data in collaboration with selected suppliers for a pre-analysis about manufacturing processes
- Lead and facilitate Lean workshop by using Lean tools such as e.g. Value Stream Mapping
- Following up with the suppliers after the workshop to ensure that the improvement plan is implemented and in line with the expectations
As ICR Expert, you will be supporting the SKF factories in developing ICR workshops.
You will promote and apply the different ICR methodologies based on business needs.
Furthermore, you will:
- Collaborating with the SKF Regional factories for workshops preparation
- Participating in the workshop with a key role as ICR Expert
- Facilitate the ideas generation, prioritization and the action plan preparation
- Participate in the follow up to ensure improvements, feasibility and results
As Cost Engineering Expert, you will be applying cost modelling and simulations with trusted software aimed to provide “Should Cost Analysis”.
You will take a role as Expert in several projects in relation to strategic Group Supply Chain initiatives.
The role also includes participation in supplier development projects and cost optimization in the field with SKF key DM suppliers.
Furthermore, you will:
- Support Category Managers for fact-based negotiations on current business and identifying the correct costs of new products
- Top-down analysis PPkg (Price Per kg), using statistical principles for benchmark
- Establish and implement best practices
- Build effective collaborations with other departments providing results to relevant stakeholders
- Develop and maintain a repository of projects done
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge in manufacturing engineering
- Good understanding of business needs
- Fluent in English
- Having a good networking attitude, with the ability to develop and maintain a professional network with internal and external stakeholders
- High level of personal motivation, commitment and teamwork
- Experience in project management; Six Sigma is considered advantageous
- Problem solving attitude
