Founding Generative AI Lead for 3D + CAD

About SketchProSketchPro is building the first AI junior architect. We integrate deeply into architectural workflows and standards, helping firms move faster and smarter. We’ve successfully launched our AI rendering product to top global firms.Now, we’re embedding AI directly into Autodesk Revit, the industry standard for architectural documentation, with SketchPro Copilot enabling AI agents to draft, generate, and automate the grunt work of architecture. We’re a team of AI engineers and seasoned architects, bridging domain expertise with frontier technology.The RoleWe’re looking for a Generative AI Lead for 3D CAD to spearhead development and training of custom AI models for architectural design, drafting, and 2D 3D generation. This role will sit at the intersection of cutting-edge ML research and real-world AEC workflows, leading the technical vision and execution of AI-native systems that transform how buildings get designed and documented. This role is fully in-person 5x/week at our SF office next to Salesforce Tower.What You’ll DoLead design, training, and deployment of custom generative models for CAD and 2D 3D geometry.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product teams to deeply understand Revit workflows and translate them into AI-first systems.Define and own the technical roadmap for generative modeling within SketchPro.Build and manage datasets spanning CAD, BIM, and architectural drawingsPrototype and iterate rapidly on model architectures for geometry generation, drafting, and construction documentation.Contribute to scaling the AI copilot across different Revit use cases: sheet creation, detail drafting, schedules, and beyond.RequirementsWho You AreDeep expertise in generative AI (Transformers, LLMs, VLMs, diffusion models, etc.).Strong background in 2D/3D geometry, CAD, embodied AI, and/or spatial reasoning. Experience from Robotics, self-driving, or other industries where spatial data and reasoning is paramount, highly preferred.Demonstrated ability to translate novel research into production systems, including experience with ML papers and open-source contributions.Hands-on with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or equivalent frameworks.Thrives in early-stage environments: self-directed, resourceful, excited to build 0 → 1.
