Equipment Operator (Skid Steer / Bobcat / Grading)

Skar Audio is hiring an experienced Skid Steer (Bobcat) Operator who can start immediately and run the machine safely and efficiently with minimal direction. This is a hands-on role for someone who already knows the equipment cold — no training-up required. We're hiring an experienced operator for site work on our Odessa, FL project. Skid steer is the primary machine, with grading, material handling, and site prep as the core of the work.

We're specifically looking for someone who can work independently — evaluate site conditions, identify where fill or grading is needed, and bring the work to the required elevations and finish without someone standing over them. GPS/machine control experience is a plus.

• 50-55 hours a week - thats roughly $88,000-$95,000 annually

Job Description

• Safely operate a Bobcat/skid steer to move, load, and stage materials, pallets, and equipment
• Perform light grading, site clean-up, and material handling as directed
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Follow all safety protocols around pedestrians, vehicles, and other equipment
• Coordinate with yard/warehouse staff to prioritize daily tasks
• Report equipment issues or needed repairs promptly
• Clean and fill up machines daily
• Confident, independent operator — comfortable running the machine with little to no supervision
• Strong spatial awareness and control in tight spaces
• Reliable, punctual, safety-first mindset
• Comfortable working outdoors in Florida heat

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable, hands-on skid steer/Bobcat operating experience (references/proof required) Paid working interview on the machine before offer of employment is made. Half day on site.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• OSHA heavy equipment safety training a plus

This is outdoor construction work in Florida. We work through the rainy season and continue operations in rain whenever conditions are safe to do so. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and flexible with availability to meet project deadlines. We provide water, shade, and scheduled breaks, and we shut down when conditions aren't safe.
