International Sales Representative - Spanish and Portuguese

Travel: 25%, 2 weeks at a time

Our client is a global leader in insect screen, solar control fabrics, drawn wire, engineered products, and specialty fabrics, the company was founded in 1952 and remains family-owned. Its manufacturing and corporate offices are in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with additional offices and warehouses in California, Italy, India, and Asia, exporting products worldwide. The company is ISO registered and an equal opportunity employer. An opening is currently available in the Tuscaloosa office for an International Sales Representative (Latin America), requiring fluent Spanish, 25% travel in the region, and full-time, in-person work at corporate headquarters.


RESPONSIBILITIES

1.         Will have expert knowledge of the company's capabilities and product portfolio

2.         Will maintain pricing and terms of sales as directed for the assigned sales territory

3.         Will perform sales activities according to export regulation compliance

4.         Will provide prompt customer service to customer inquiries, including order entry,  quotations, sampling and product knowledge

5.        Will provide “voice of the customer” for creation of new products, product improvements and complaints

6.         Will respond to customer complaints, issue corrective actions and/or processing of billing corrections and credits

7.        Will respond to email, website and phone inquiries

8.         Will create monthly sales reports for the assigned sales territory    

9.     Will plan and travel internationally to the assigned sales territory

10.       Will be able to travel internationally, including solo trips to multiple countries for periods

           of up to two weeks, as required. 

11.       Will plan and attend international trade show and trade missions

12.      Will host international customers and prospects for office visits and plant tours

13.      Will monitor and report to management on competitor activities

14.      Will provide customer and country information to Credit Management

15.      Will monitor regional and country political and economic risks

16.      Will translate and/or edit foreign language advertising and promotional media and website development


Job Requirements

  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated with the drive and ability to work independently. They will be a high-energy individual with strong interpersonal skills and ethical principles. 
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Business or another closely related field is required.
  • Excellent Communications in English & Spanish – Verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft 2016 Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in International Business within Latin America is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's license required
  • Valid passport
  • Ability to travel 25% internationally
  • Customer Service and Relationship Management experience
