Job Summary

The Director of IT leads the localization and execution of enterprise-wide information technology and digitalization strategies aligned with business goals at both a division and global levels. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities for information technology improvements, overseeing the design and implementation of the IT ecosystem, and managing the full technology lifecycle—from concept to sunset. Working in close collaboration with internal teams, the Director of IT gathers business requirements, translates user feedback into system functionality, and ensures solutions meet evolving organizational needs. By staying current with emerging technologies, this role drives innovation, enhances efficiency, and continuously improves IT capabilities across the organization.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead divisional IT and digitalization initiatives by developing and executing strategies aligned with both local business goals and the global IT roadmap.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on technology, digital transformation, and innovation
• Oversee the full application lifecycle, ensuring effective design, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement based on business needs.
• Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for new applications and technology-driven solutions.
• Translate business needs and feedback into functional requirements that guide product design and deployment.
• Ensure reliable, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure by implementing best practices and continuously improving systems and services.
• Establish and enforce IT security policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including cGMP requirements.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing IT organization and promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration between IT teams and business stakeholders, and Global IT teams to ensure alignment.
• Manage IT budgets and technology investments to optimize resources, control costs, and support strategic objectives.
• Build and maintain strong vendor and external partner relationships to maximize value and service quality.
• Stay informed of emerging trends and technologies to identify opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives that enhance business processes and operational excellence.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 10 years of experience as an IT professional, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Experience in API Manufacturing and cGMP requirements strongly preferred.
