Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities, providing a safe and efficient environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic appeal.
- Execute electrical repairs and installations as needed.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical systems.
- Carry out facilities maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Repair appliances such as stoves, laundry machines, and refrigerators
- Renovate and update existing units as needed. Typical renovations include installing luxury vinyl plank, replacing dated light fixtures, plumbing for the vanity and kitchen sink, cleaning and painting the unit.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication.
- Experience in residential painting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs safely and efficiently.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in facilities maintenance preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with residents and staff.
- Leadership qualities that foster teamwork and collaboration within the maintenance department.
