A growing and fast-paced litigation practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with insurance defense or injury litigation experience to join its San Antonio office. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated litigator looking to manage an active caseload, gain hands-on litigation experience, and work in a collaborative hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage approximately 30 active litigation files
• Handle injury and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
• Review medical records, billing documents, pleadings, discovery, and case-related documentation
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, with many proceedings conducted via Zoom
• Prepare weekly written reports for insurance carrier representatives, including case updates, exposure analysis, and litigation recommendations
• Maintain monthly billing expectations of approximately 160 hours

Candidate Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing preferred
• 3–5 years of litigation experience
• Experience in injury-related litigation required
• Insurance defense experience preferred, though plaintiff-side injury attorneys will also be considered
• Strong legal writing, organization, and case management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
