Role Description The Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, responsible for overseeing all daily operations of a Pepper Lunch restaurant. This includes leading and scheduling team members, supervising service on the floor, and ensuring food quality, cleanliness, and safety standards are consistently met. The Store Manager monitors inventory, manages ordering, controls costs, and supports revenue goals through effective labor and waste management. They handle guest feedback, resolve service issues, and ensure every guest receives a positive, memorable dining experience. The role also includes training, coaching, and developing team members, maintaining compliance with company policies and local regulations, and supporting local marketing or promotional activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing abilities, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on delivering positive guest experiences.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Proven Store Management experience, including team leadership, scheduling, performance management, and basic financial oversight (e.g., sales, labor, and inventory).
- Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, including cash handling controls, shrink reduction, and adherence to safety and security procedures.
- Previous experience in restaurant or retail management, ideally in a fast-casual or quick-service environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and decisive in a fast-paced setting.
