Sizer School is seeking a creative, student-centered Visual & Digital Arts Teacher to inspire and support students in developing artistic skills, creative expression, digital media literacy, and critical thinking. The successful candidate will cultivate a dynamic studio environment where students explore traditional and digital artistic practices through hands-on, project-based learning.
The ideal candidate will foster artistic confidence while encouraging experimentation, collaboration, portfolio development, and real-world creative problem solving using both traditional and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities
Teach a range of visual arts and digital arts courses for grades 7-12.
Introduce students to historical and contemporary artists, designers, and digital creators.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Assess student growth through portfolios, critiques, exhibitions, and project-based assessments.
Develop and implement units that could include: Foundations of Art and Design; Drawing and Painting; Sculpture and 3D Design
Digital Arts and Media; Photography and Film.
Maintain art supplies, technology equipment, software, and studio safety procedures.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) licensure in Visual Art 5-12 and SEI endorsement within the first year of hire.
Demonstrated knowledge of traditional and digital artistic media and techniques.\
Experience with digital art platforms and creative software
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to foster creativity and inclusive participation among students.
