Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits with professionalism, including wine knowledge and drink presentation
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods securely
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for seamless order processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Beverage service expertise including cocktail mixing, spirits knowledge, wine pairing, and drink presentation
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to deliver smooth service experiences
