What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Shift Aluminum Fitter/Welder position at Six Axis, LLC?
The Fitter/Welder is responsible for variety of weld preparation, MIG welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products to blueprints, customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
There is a $2 shift differential (non-exempt employees working night shift hours. Hours are a minimum 7pm-5:30am).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use AWS D1.1 and D1.2 approved welding techniques to weld Aluminum and Steel components
- Read, interpret and fit to dimensions on detailed structural and pipe drawings
- Process inspection, certification, and documentation for job assignment(s)
- Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools as required
- Use of fitting tools, including, but not limited to tape measure, square & angles, protractor degrees
- Complete and understand all necessary weld/machine setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Use safe work habits and adhere to all safety regulations and requirements
- Perform work in adherence with Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Maintain clean, organized safe working environment with equipment and materials located in proper locations in accordance with 5S standards
- Adhere to all Quality Standards as responsible for quality of own work
- Perform other job duties as assigned
- Must have experience as a fitter
Salary : $2
