What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitter/Welder II- Aluminum position at Six Axis, LLC?
he Fitter/Welder is responsible for variety of weld preparation, MIG welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products to blueprints, customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use AWS D1.1 and D1.2 approved welding techniques to weld Aluminum and Steel components
- Read, interpret and fit to dimensions on detailed structural and pipe drawings
- Process inspection, certification, and documentation for job assignment(s)
- Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools as required
- Use of fitting tools, including, but not limited to tape measure, square & angles, protractor degrees
- Complete and understand all necessary weld/machine setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Use safe work habits and adhere to all safety regulations and requirements
- Perform work in adherence with Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Maintain clean, organized safe working environment with equipment and materials located in proper locations in accordance with 5S standards
- Adhere to all Quality Standards as responsible for quality of own work
- Perform other job duties as assigned
- Must have experience as a fitter
