Position Overview
SITEC is seeking a Business Financial Professional to support a well-established customer team in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong DoD or Intelligence Community experience who understands acquisition, budget execution, purchasing, financial reporting, and government financial systems. The successful candidate will support both new development efforts and ongoing sustainment activities, helping Government Program Managers track requirements, manage financial documentation, and maintain accurate spend plans.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced customer environment, and able to creatively solve problems while staying aligned with established acquisition and financial management policies.
Responsibilities
The Business Financial Professional will support financial planning, execution, purchasing, reporting, and documentation activities, including:
- Assist with the validation and completion of Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs).
- Support end-of-year financial activities and actual data calls.
- Enter requisitions into financial management systems with all required information and supporting documentation.
- Prepare non-complex Purchase Requests, Economy Act Orders, and associated requisitions.
- Process incoming MIPRs and EAOs using standard BM&A processes to support timely acceptance.
- Create, update, and maintain spend plans in financial management systems.
- Modify requisitions and related documentation to support obligation of funds.
- Assist Government Program Managers with tracking requisition requirements through approval, certification, and follow-on processing.
- Pull financial reports and data from agency systems such as FACTS, CMIS, EDSS, and CDW.
- Use Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to organize, analyze, and present financial data for customer data calls.
- Apply established acquisition, financial management, budget execution, and reporting procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph required at time of application.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in purchasing, finance, business, or a related field.
- Experience preparing reports that reflect program or project status in areas such as cost, schedule, and performance.
- Experience with budget planning, budget preparation, and budget execution for acquisition programs.
- Working knowledge of DoD or Intelligence Community purchasing, finance, and acquisition processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage financial documentation accurately.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Government Program Managers, finance teams, and mission stakeholders.
Experience Substitution
In lieu of a bachelor's degree, the following experience may be substituted:
- Six years of DoD or Intelligence Community purchasing or finance experience; or
- Eight years of combined DoD, Intelligence Community, and commercial purchasing or finance experience.
Certification Substitution
In lieu of a degree, one of the following certifications may be accepted with directly related experience:
- Project Management Professional, PMP
- Certified Defense Financial Manager, CDFM
- DAWIA Level I in Business/Financial Management
Candidates using this substitution must have:
- Eleven years of DoD or Intelligence Community purchasing or finance experience; or
- Thirteen years of combined DoD, Intelligence Community, and commercial purchasing or finance experience.
In lieu of certification, an additional two years of directly related experience may be substituted, for a total of:
- Thirteen years of DoD or Intelligence Community purchasing or finance experience; or
- Fifteen years of combined DoD, Intelligence Community, and commercial purchasing or finance experience.
