Screw Machine Operator
Shift: 1st, (6am-4pm)
Pay: $21-$28/hr. (Based on Experience)
As a Screw Machine Operator, you will set up and operate single or multi-spindle lathe-type screw machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms. You'll be responsible for machining metal bar stock parts to exact specifications and tolerances.
Job Description:
- Read and interpret blueprints and job orders
- Set up machine tooling, including collets, cams, gears, bushings, and pushers
- Load bar stock and install cutting tools according to work order specs
- Adjust cutting speeds, feed rates, and machine controls
- Monitor machine operations and inspect first-piece and in-process work
- Replace worn tools and use bench grinders for sharpening
- Follow safety policies, OSHA standards, and ISO procedures
- Perform basic math for measurements and part inspection
- Maintain full-time attendance and support team production goals
