Assistant Plant Manager/Plant Maintenance
Location: Milwaukee
2nd Shift - 3pm- 11:30pm
Up to $40/hour

Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader with strong maintenance experience? We're looking for an Assistant Plant Manager / Plant Maintenance professional to help lead our 2nd Shift operations while ensuring equipment reliability, production efficiency, and a safe working environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, troubleshooting equipment, and making a direct impact on plant performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily 2nd Shift production operations
- Ensure production goals, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met
- Promote and enforce safety and environmental compliance
- Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate employees
- Coordinate and perform preventive maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing equipment
- Rebuild machines and overhaul components as necessary
- Maintain production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency
Qualifications
Required
- 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring tools
- Knowledge of machining technology, shop mathematics, and manufacturing processes
- Valid driver's license
Preferred
- Experience with die casting equipment (Techmire, Frech, or similar)
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience
- Welding knowledge
- Electrical troubleshooting skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and kneel throughout the shift
- Frequent use of hand tools and maintenance equipment
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including a respirator in designated production areas
