Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in all operations. This role involves handling equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and trucks to support diverse construction projects. Candidates with mechanical knowledge and a background in construction are highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Perform site preparation tasks such as grading, excavation, and material movement
- Operate commercial vehicles such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, and roll-off trucks for transporting materials
- Assist with concrete mixing operations using concrete mixers and related equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications
- Support other construction activities as needed, including farm machinery operation or tanker handling
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and related machinery
- Construction site experience is essential
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for operating trucks and transporting materials
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is advantageous
- Ability to operate specialized machinery including concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers
- Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy loads when necessary
- Prior experience with construction projects involving concrete work or earthmoving is highly desirable
